Refund Policy

Policy:
North Ringwood Community House Inc will maintain a fair and equitable refund policy. This policy will adhere to the funding guidelines for Government funded training.

 Policy: Government Funded Course Refunds

  • If a student notifies NRCHI.  in writing that they are withdrawing from a course at any time up to 4 weeks after commencement, NRCHI will keep the minimum tuition fee but we will refund any tuition fees above the minimum, and all other fees. 
  • If the course is cancelled at any time during a person’s enrolment, a full refund of the tuition fee applies, along with the appropriate portion of any student services & amenities fees & other fees.
  • If a student notifies NRCHI.  in writing that they are withdrawing from a course more than 4 weeks after commencement of a course, NRCHI will keep the minimum tuition fee.  The appropriate portion of the balance of the tuition fee along with any student services & amenities fees & other fees will be refunded.
  • Refunds will be processed by the book-keeper within two weeks of receipt of the application. A non-refundable $15 administration fee will be deducted. 

 Implementation

 When a written notice of withdrawal is received:

  •  The Student Course Enrolment Form will be marked that a refund is being processed.  The withdrawal form will be filed with the student records.
  • Administrative staff will calculate the refund amount and a Request for Refund Form will be completed. 
  • Vettrak records will be updated to reflect that the student has withdrawn & a refund has been recorded.
  • The refund will then be checked & processed by the bookkeeper, who will issue the refund.
  • All refunds will be issued by cheque or credit card if applicable.

 Policy: General Adult Education Courses

 Cancellation by Student

 A Refund of Class Fees is given when –

  • The student gives at least one weeks notice of cancellation.  A non-refundable $15 administration fee will be deducted. 
  • No refunds will be issued if the student cancels within the week prior to or after the course commences.

 Cancellation by the North Ringwood Community House Inc

  •  A full refund will be issued if the Community House has cancelled the course.

 Implementation

 When a notice of cancellation is received –

  • The Student Course Enrolment Form will be marked that a refund is being processed. 
  • A Request for Refund Form will be completed. 
  • Vettrak records will be updated to reflect that the student has withdrawn & a refund has been recorded.
  • A copy of the enrolment form showing details of original payment & receipt number will be attached.  The request for Refund form covers details of course enrolled, reason for cancellation & total amount of refund due. 
  • The refund will then be processed by the bookkeeper, who will issue the refund.
  • All refunds will be issued by cheque or credit card if applicable.

 Policy: Crèche

  • Parents may book and pay on a daily basis for the crèche.
  • Parents who pay by the term to receive the 10% discount will not be eligible for a credit or refund due to cancellation by the parent or failure to take up the position.

Cancellation by the North Ringwood Community House Inc

  •  A full refund or credit will be issued if the Community House cancels a crèche session.
